Water jet liposuction (WAL, BodyJet) is a success in Europe, United States, Finland and other Nordic countries. Water jet liposuction is a new and unique method that makes it even more convenient and safe to get rid of unwanted fat in different areas of the body. The results are natural and aesthetically pleasing. The treated area is beautifully shaped and the skin is smooth and supple. The most commonly treated areas are the abdomen, sides, waist, inner and outer thighs, upper arms, back, underside of the chin, and knees.
The benefits of water jet liposuction
Water Assisted Liposuction (WAL) with BodyJet technology is the most modern and effective method of removing fat. WAL completely replaces traditional liposuction and other methods. It is very gentle on the body. The result is a smoother and finer surface texture than other methods. The recovery time is very short.
Pre-procedure consultation
A consultation with a plastic surgeon is recommended. Liposuction assessment can also be done based on photos. At the Plastic Surgery Center, we aim to do liposuction within a month after the consultation.
Safe operation
Water jet liposuction is always performed by a plastic surgeon or a doctor who specializes in surgery and has received special training in liposuction. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia. The patient can return home a couple of hours after the procedure and go to work after 1-2 days. If desired, the procedure can also be performed under anesthesia (anesthesia).

General information on liposuction

Liposuction is one of the most common aesthetic procedures in our clinics. Liposuction refers to the removal of subcutaneous fat from tissues. In this way, the shape and lines of the body can be made § more attractive.
Individual treatment plan
At the Plastic Surgery Center, the planning of plastic surgery and aesthetic treatments is always based on the individual wishes and needs of the client, to which our experts give their views. The treatment plan is the responsibility of the doctor, who makes the assessment after meeting the client in person at his / her appointment.
For whom is the liposuction procedure recommended for?
Liposuction is the most effective method for removing subcutaneous fat and shaping the body. Liposuction can be done for women and men of all ages. Liposuction results are beautiful and natural.
We recommend liposuction for fat removal and shaping the abdomen, ribs, upper arms, thighs, back, outer hips, buttocks, knees, ankles, chin and neck. Liposuction can also treat excessive fatty tissue in men’s chests. Liposuction can also be performed in connection with fat transfer. Fat is transferred to for example the buttocks, breasts or facial area.
Liposuction under anesthesia or local anesthesia
Before the procedure, the client is always given a free consultation at our clinic or by e-mail based on the pictures. Possible illnesses, medications and allergies are always taken into account when planning the procedure. Liposuction is a really safe procedure and the risks of complications are very small.
Liposuction normally removes 1-4 liters of fat at a time. Liposuction takes from less than an hour to just over two hours and is almost always done under local anesthesia. The procedure is painless with the new BodyJet EVO water jet method.
After liposuction under local anesthesia, you can get home after a few hours of rest.
Liposuction recovery and sick leave
After liposuction, the treated area is supported with bandages or braces to get the best possible result. The small suture is removed about 10 days after the procedure. After liposuction, sick leave is usually 1 to 4 days, depending on which areas of the body have been treated with liposuction. Usually, the client who has been in liposuction is fully fit for work just a few days after the procedure.
Exercises can usually start as early as 1-2 weeks after the procedure. The doctors and nursing staff at the Plastic Surgery Center will be happy to answer any questions you may have about starting sports and exercise activities, for example.
Almost invisible scars with the right technology
As the name implies, the BodyJet EVO removes fat from under the skin with a new gentle water-assisted liposuction (WAL) technology, which results in minimal bruising and moderate swelling. The bruises go away in a couple of weeks, but the swelling may continue for up to a month. After liposuction, the client normally experiences a slight tenderness and sometimes mild pain. Ordinary over-the-counter painkillers such as Burana and Panadol are sufficient for pain relief. It is recommended to use the medicine for 1-4 days after liposuction.
There are no visible scars from liposuction, as only a small hole (2-3 mm) is made in the skin for the suction tip used in the procedure. The insertion hole in the skin is made in the most invisible place possible, for example in the abdominal area to the side of the abdomen. In the thighs’ suction, a small incision is usually made in the crease or groin between the thigh and the buttocks. If necessary, the skin incisions are closed with sutures.
